The process of creating a masterpiece is not that simple.
Art and design industry are based on visuals. To find “that one” image is chúng tôi people of art know what the true pain means when the perfect image is too broken to be used.It should have the best quality or at least the highest one. Otherwise, poor elements will make the whole project to look low-grade.
What’s more, the pieces for web/graphic design should have equal quality (preferably high ha-ha) to avoid being dissonant with each other. Some formats require big image size, that’s why simple elements you use for the decoration should also be not really small.
But what’s the main concern is – you can rarely find high-quality elements just in the net. Otherwise, you are goddamn Sherlock. And clients usually also don’t really care about image quality. They just see the picture and want a magic happen.
Let’s Enhance is the solution. But how you can use it on maximum?
Upscale any element
Do you know the main difference with “Illustrations” and “Photos and Art” filter? Yes, they both do upscaling, but there is a crucial difference:
Logos, illustrations, simple elements or cartoonish style images – it’s for “Illustrations” because it will make pixel polishing, and all the logos will look incredibly good.
Crashed photos, naturalistic images or real-life elements are for “Photos and Art” because it will make noise removal and sharpening. They both work perfectly for the purpose they were created for.Remember this difference and don’t mix them.
Elements with transparent background
Let’s Enhance CAN work with this type of image. Because it’s the most frequently used type of image for designers, right? They can be easily found in good quality in photo stocks. But if it’s not – upload it to us.Remove background than upscale or vice versa – it’s up to you.
But do not forget – if you upload in PNG, so you should download as well in PNG (the same works with JPEG). Because our networks can be confused with your configuration. Don’t make them sad 🙁
Image Textures
Is it needed to say that textures are pivotal for 3D architecture designers?Otherwise, they will sell nothing and stay hungry 🙂 Joke.
In 3D-architecture everything is based on the textures while constructing the house of your dream.
A perfect design project is not possible with poor-quality elements. The more natural look it has – the better. Check the difference:
Here are two examples with poor-quality textures and the good ones. The image on the right looks too cartoonish (like it from Sims 3) and another one looks like a real photo. Here is the difference of textures.
Usually, all the textures can be found for free, but of course, they are in not really good condition. And for sure if you have lots of them in 3D-scene, the difference in the quality of the elements will be visible.
But free low-quality texture is not a sentence.Smart designers know a thing or two and use them a lot. Find it on the resources for free and enhance it with us.You can not eat your cake and still have it!
Make the whole world see it
If you’ve already done a masterpiece, don’t destroy it with postproduction.Enhance it! Make it bigger.
Clients are the world for us. Do they want exactly this low-quality image for their walls? No problem anymore.
What we can help you to do: – artwalls – big banners for the events– building wraps (yeap, even this!)
Check our customers’ reviews:
Client wants an art wall with zebras for his house? Ok! I don’t depend on only high-resolution images, because I can make it by myself thanks to LE in whatever design! Even with 600×600 images from Pinterest
Olivia, designer
I am designing websites and I like to play with textures and small details. It’s very hard to find it in a good resolution, so I had to find the solution.Just upload and get in 5 seconds back. Brilliant result, thank you!
Marcos, web-designer
The apps I use for drawing have limits in size and decrease my art quality. So Let’s Enhance was pretty much a lifesaver, especially now when I started to make prints.

How To Use Ear Drops Correctly
There are many ear disorders that can be treated with ear drops including middle ear infections, swimmer’s ear, excessive ear wax, and ear pain. While it’s possible to self-administer ear drops, the angle of the auditory tube can sometimes be a little tricky.
In instances like these, it often helps to have a second set of hands (or a third if you plan to give them to a child).
Types of Ear Drops
Some of the more common types of ear drops include:
Acid-based detergents to break up ear wax
Alcohol and acetic acid solutions to prevent swimmer’s ears
Antibiotics to treat bacterial infections
Anesthetics to help numb ear pain
Contraindications
Unless your doctor tells you otherwise, ear drops should never be used if you have a ruptured eardrum. Doing so allows potentially damaging chemicals into the middle ear. This even includes antibiotic ear drops meant to clear an infection.
You can often tell the eardrum is ruptured if there is a sharp pain, drainage, or a popping noise followed by the immediate relief of pain and pressure.
See your doctor if you believe your eardrum is ruptured, and avoid placing anything in your ear until then. In most cases, the eardrum will repair itself within a matter of days.
Preparation
When preparing to use ear drops, always make a point of reading the product instructions carefully, including the list of possible side effects. If the instructions are unclear, speak with your doctor or pharmacist.
You should also check the expiration date. If the drops are expired or appear contaminated, throw them away.
Always wash your hands with soap and water before using or administering ear drops.
Usage in Adults and Teens
These instructions apply if you are alone or have a friend who can help:
Fold the towel in half and lay it on a kitchen or bathroom counter.
Lay your head on the towel with your affected ear up.
You or your friend should then gently pull the earlobe out and up to straighten the auditory tube.
Carefully administer the recommended number of drops into the ear canal.
Gently push on the ear flap to encourage the liquid into the ear.
Stay there for at least a minute or two to ensure the medication is coating the ear canal fully.
Repeat on the other side if needed.
Usage in Children
This one requires one or even two additional people, especially if the child is young or squeamish. In this instance, one person would administer the drops while the other would keep the child still.
The procedure is also slightly different because the auditory tube in children is shorter and has a more horizontal angle.
To administer the drops safely:
Fold a clean towel in half and place it on the floor or bed.
Have the child lay his or her head on the towel, affected ear up.
If needed, a second adult can hold the child’s head still. If the child is especially fidgety, the adult should lie down and cradle the child while keeping the head restrained.
The person administering the drops should gently pull the earlobe out and down (rather than out and up) to straighten the auditory tube.
Administer the prescribed number of drops.
Gently push on the flap of the ear or plug the ear with a cotton ball.
Keep the child in this position for several minutes.
Repeat on the other ear if needed.
The process for infants and toddlers is more or less the same. Infants can be swaddled in a blanket (with arms in) to keep them comfortable and still. Toddlers may need to be cradled on the bed with their arms and legs fully restrained.
Side Effects or Complications
The ear is a delicate structure and can respond differently to different medications. If you have any abnormal reactions after using the drops, call your doctor. This is especially true if you have an allergic reaction characterized by burning, itching, redness, or localized rash.
Allergy Warning
While rare, ear drops can sometimes trigger a severe allergic reaction known as anaphylaxis. If left untreated, anaphylaxis may lead to coma, shock, cardiac or respiratory failure, and even death.
How To Use “Former” Vs. “Latter”
The terms former and latter are words used to distinguish between two things. Former directs us to the first of these two things, and latter directs us to the second (or last) of them. Do not use former or latter when you are writing about more than two things.
Former and latter are words that sound old-fashioned to some people, and indeed they are very old words.
According to the Online Etymological Dictionary, former derives from the Old English word forma, meaning “first.” By the 12th century, former was used to mean “first, earliest in time or order,” and by the 1580s, it arrived at its present meaning, “the first of two.” Latter has a similar history. In Old English, lætra was the comparative form of “late” and latter had arrived at its present meaning of “the second of two” by the 1550s. It is a relative of our modern word later.
Here’s a tip: Want to make sure your writing always looks great? Grammarly can save you from misspellings, grammatical and punctuation mistakes, and other writing issues on all your favorite websites.
“Former” vs. “Latter”: Remembering Which Is Which Couldn’t Be Easier
When using former and latter to distinguish between two things, remember “F for first, L for last.”
This writer is a fan of The Simpsons, which is the first show mentioned.
This writer holds a belief that hamsters, the last animal mentioned, is the better of the two companions for a human.
Keep in mind that it isn’t a good idea to overuse former and latter in any one piece of writing. Readers tend to be confused by this because it essentially asks the reader to glance back at the two items to reference which item was listed first and which was last. If you ask your readers to perform too many mental maneuvers, they tend to lose interest quickly. However, in academic writing it can be very useful. Naturally, because these terms refer to items in a list, never use them in spoken language, because there is nothing for the listener to go back and refer to-they are just words in the wind.
Never Use “Former” and “Latter” with Lists of More Than Two
Here’s a tip: The principal caveat about using former and latter is this: these are words that can only be applied to two things, never three (or more).
How To Use “Whole” And “Entire”: The Whole Picture
In fact, I recently got a message from a Clark and Miller reader called Oscar. Here’s what he said:
“I’d like to have some tips to explain the difference between whole, entire and all … although I know how to use it, I want to know a better way to explain it.”
Great question. At first glance, “whole” and “entire” (and “all”) can be kind of confusing.
But there’s actually quite an easy way to look at it.
Today we’re going to deal with the differences (and similarities) between “whole” and “entire.”
“Whole” and “entire” as adjectives
In short, “whole” and “entire” describe 100% of a single thing:
In the sentence “We watched a boring film,” you’ve got the structure “a + adjective + noun.”
This also works with “the”: ” the boring film.”
And if you don’t want to use “a” or “the,” then … well, go ahead: ” boring films.”
The words “whole” and “entire” work the same way – just put them before the noun.
So instead of “We watched a boring film,” you can have “We watched a whole film” or “We watched an entire film.”
So you can say “We watched the whole film” and “We watched three whole films,” but you can’t say ” We watched the whole films.”
Let’s look at some examples:
“The whole” and “the entire” + singular noun
Remember: we can only use “the whole” and “the entire” with a singular noun (“television,” “woman,” “suggestion,” etc.).
“I slept through the whole flight. I feel great!”
“He spent the entire day trying to solve the technical issue and got nothing done.”
“We had to wait for the whole process to finish before we could try again.”
By the way, “the whole …” has the same meaning as “all of the …” More on that in a future post.
“A whole” and “an entire” + singular noun
Remember: we can only use “a whole” and “an entire” with singular nouns – no plurals and no uncountable nouns!
“Ursula never thought she could eat an entire carrot cake in less than a minute. But she did.”
“Terri’s a really fast reader. She’ll read an entire book before breakfast.”
“Come on! There’s a whole list of things we need to do before lunch. Let’s get started!”
“Whole” and “entire” (with no article)
Remember: we can only use “whole” and “entire” with no article with plural nouns, like “televisions,” “women” and “suggestions.”
“The new solar farm will be able to power entire cities at once.”
” Whole families had to share rooms after the earthquake.”
N.B. You can’t use “whole” and “entire” with uncountable nouns. So you can’t say ” He wants entire money,” or ” Breathe in the whole oxygen!” or ” Can I have an entire information?” With uncountable nouns, use “all the” (or “all that”): “He wants all the money,” “Breathe in all that oxygen!” and “Can I have all the information?”
What’s the difference between “whole” and “entire”
Is there any difference between them?
Well, not really. There’s almost no difference in meaning, but there’s a small difference in emphasis.
Although “whole” and “entire” have the same basic meaning, “entire” usually feels stronger. Use it when you want to emphasise how “100%” something is.
There are two common phrases in English where we use “whole” as a noun. Let’s check them out one by one.
See someone as a whole
Sometimes it feels easy to figure people out.
Like when you go to a party and you meet Ranjit. And at the party, Ranjit is totally crazy. He’s just stolen a traffic cone and he’s telling you a crazy story about his gorilla friend called Karen.
So you form an opinion pretty quickly about Ranjit. And that opinion is “Ranjit is a crazy party guy.”
And so you call up Ranjit whenever you want to go out and have fun.
But Ranjit isn’t just a party guy.
He has a nice family, he likes playing golf and he’s very serious about his job as a giraffe inspector. In fact, Ranjit is so much more than just a party guy.
Like most people, he’s multi-faceted – he’s got a lot of sides to his personality.
But if you just see him as the party guy, you’re not going to see the real Ranjit. You need to see him as a whole – as a complex, multi-faceted human being.
We all do this, right? We form an opinion about someone and then that’s the only thing we associate with that person.
But, of course, it’s better to try and see people as a whole.
Let’s check out some examples:
“I wish he could see me as a whole – not just the person in the photos I share on Facebook. Know what I mean?”
“Look! It’s time you started seeing yourself as a whole and not just some person who used to live on a farm.”
And, of course, there’s this joke:
This phrase means “generally speaking.”
We use it when we’re assessing a situation or an experience or a project or a process or something like that.
It’s useful when we want to give a general idea about something – to describe the overall result.
It’s like we’re using some scales, and we’re balancing the good and the bad and coming up with a conclusion.
Let’s dive straight into examples here:
“There were a few technical issues, but on the whole I think the conference went pretty well.”
“The human body, on the whole, is surprisingly quiet if you think about how much work it’s doing all the time.”
“I’m sorry – the plan was awful! On the whole, it’s done more harm than good.”
And that’s all you need to know (probably) about “whole” and “entire.”
But before you move on, how about some practice?
Can you answer these questions?
On the whole, how is 2021 going for you?
Have you ever read a whole book in one day? Which book was it?
Have you ever gone to the cinema and slept through the entire film? Which film was it?
